We are now half way through recycle week 2013, hopefully you are getting involved in various activities in your local area. One of the topics of recycle week is that of plastic recycling at home and away. To help spread the word on plastic recycling we have created a know your plastics page here on our site for the different types of plastics. We show you what the various plastic logos mean and the products you may see them on.
By educating yourself on the different types of plastics you can easily identify the plastics that your local authority can recycle. This can be either from a kerbside collection where available or from your local recycling facility. Some supermarkets now have recycling banks for plastics, glass, metal and paper, so keep an eye out for them. There are lots of interesting facts on recycling plastics on the following document on the Wrap website.
Recycle week 2013 ends Sunday 23rd June, so it’s still not too late to get involved.
